Spoiler ahead: Library shelving conceals a candlelit staircase leading down toward the Crypt. The recording shows the opening at about 4:06:26, before the Library is reported tidied. Here is how to recognize the reveal without assuming an untested unlock rule.
Recognize the staircase reveal
Watch the Library sequence around 4:06:20–4:06:30. The player is facing shelving, then a wall-sized opening reveals a stone staircase with candles and a crescent banner. Use those landmarks to recognize the passage, then follow the stairs when it is accessible.
The screenshot captures the exposed stairway. It is a visual reference for an already-open passage, not a map locating an unseen interaction point.
You do not need to assume full Library completion
At the reveal, the visible Library counter reads 2,266 / 2,280 items and 214 / 228 shelves. The “Library tidied” message appears later, around 4:07:28. This recording therefore shows the opening before full Library completion.
The counter also changes from 240 shelves earlier to 228 at the reveal. That change is visible, but the footage alone does not isolate the game’s internal trigger. We have not established a required shelf count, specific book, purchase or button press.
If the passage is still closed
Continue checking Library categories and shelf progress. Compare the reveal sequence in the linked video with your own game. Treat a “This door will not open yet” message elsewhere as a separate clue: the footage does not establish that every question-mark door shares the Library passage’s trigger.
We cannot provide a guaranteed unlock sequence from this single playthrough. If you are looking for a book-sorting method while working toward the reveal, use the Library category guide.
Entering the Crypt
The player finishes the Library, returns to the passage, and enters the Crypt sequence around 4:07:53. The Crypt has its own room counters and storage areas. Read the selected item category there just as you would in other rooms, and start a fresh local checklist rather than counting its objects as unfinished Library shelves.
The recording reports the Crypt tidied at 4:25:06, then moves on to the Greenhouse. That is this player’s route, not evidence of a mandatory room order.
